TAXGEN ("we", "us") runs taxgensolutions.com, its GSTR-1 tool and its CA-assisted tax and business services from Jaipur, Rajasthan. This policy explains what data we handle and what choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and password, or your Google sign-in, and your mobile number.
- GST details: business name, GSTIN, filing period and the GSTR-1 returns you generate.
- Service forms: what you enter when you request a service, such as your name, PAN, contact and business details, and the documents you upload, such as PAN, Aadhaar, Form 16 and bank statements.
- Income tax portal password: ITR forms have an optional field for it. If you fill it in, it is saved with your form and sent to our team so they can file for you. Leave it blank if you prefer, and change the password after filing if you did share it.
- Payments: plan, amount, status and payment references. Razorpay handles your card, UPI or bank details, and we do not receive them.
- WhatsApp messages: your number and the messages you send us.
- Technical data: IP address, browser details and pages visited. We also keep sign-in cookies, and your browser may keep an unfinished filing, a coupon or a referral code on your device.
Sales reports you upload to the GSTR-1 tool
Your Flipkart, Amazon or Meesho report files are read to build the return and are not saved on our servers. The finished GSTR-1 is saved to your account with your GSTIN and filing period so you can download it again. An unfinished filing may stay in your browser on your device for up to 14 days.
AutoFile
If you use AutoFile, you type your GST portal username, password, CAPTCHA and OTP yourself while a server-side browser works on the GST portal for you. The password is used for that login and is not stored or logged.
Why we use it
- To run your account, prepare your returns and deliver the services you request.
- To take payments, prevent misuse, and keep the records the law requires.
- To reply to you and send updates about your filing or request.
- To understand and improve the site, including measuring our advertising.
Who we share it with
We share data only as needed to run the service. We do not sell your personal data.
- Our team and CAs who work on your request.
- Supabase (database, sign-in and document storage) and Vercel (website hosting).
- Google (Google sign-in, and Google Cloud for AutoFile).
- Razorpay (payments).
- Meta and Twilio (WhatsApp messages), and OpenAI, which generates replies from our WhatsApp assistant using your messages.
- Resend (emails to our team about new requests, which include the details on your form).
- Meta Pixel, if enabled, to measure our advertising.
- Government portals, when you ask us to file something, and authorities where the law requires it.
Some of these providers may process data outside India.
How long we keep it
We keep your account, saved filings and documents until you ask us to delete them. Tax, payment and similar records may be kept for as long as the law requires, even after you ask us to delete your account.
Your choices
- Delete a saved return yourself from Saved filings.
- Email us to access or correct your data, delete your account or documents, or withdraw a consent you gave.
- You can clear cookies and site data in your browser at any time, though you will be signed out.
Security
We use encrypted connections and limit access to the people and providers who need it. No online service can promise complete security, so please share only what a service needs.
Children
Our services are for people aged 18 and over. A parent or guardian should contact us about a minor's tax matter.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update it here along with the date above.
